Finalized EVAA K-6 Schedule 2007

Free Wrestling Clinic

The preseason free clinic and showcase is a 3 day low intensity taste of wrestling. It focuses on basic to intermediate skills applicable to any child in K-6th grade who is interested in trying wrestling. It is also great for kids who want to get a jump on their EVAA season. Due to support from the Eastview Wrestling Program, it is free to all kids. The free clinic is usually at the end of October. Clinic Flyer 2007

This year we will also be offering a FREE clinic for students in 7th and 8th grade. This will be a great opportunity for those interested in trying middle school wrestling or for those that want to get a good start to their middle school wrestling season. 7th-8th EVHS Clinic Flyer 2007

Eastview Elite Wrestling

This Eastview Wrestling sponsored program is for K-8th grade wrestlers who want to extend their EVAA and middle school wrestling seasons into January and February. The wrestling techniques taught will be mostly intermediate with some advanced techniques shown. All abilities are welcomed, but an emphasis on tournament competition will be stressed. Wrestlers who are ready will be encouraged to compete in three local tournaments with a chance to wrestle in a youth State Tournament. Information and Registration Form

Thunderbolts Wrestling Club

This Eastview Community freestyle and Greco-Roman club works closely with the Eastview and EVAA wrestling programs. It teaches kids the Olympic styles of wrestling from which our high school style was derived. There is more emphasis on positioning and scoring which nicely complements the other wrestling programs. This 3rd-12th grade program is great for kids who want more competition in a slightly different context or for kids who just want to refine their skills. It runs in March and April.

Eastview Wrestling Summer Camp

This half day camp is for kids entering 1st-9th grade who want to have fun and learn a little wrestling. Techniques are taught at all levels to accommodate all levels of abilities. The Eastview Coaches and Wrestlers staff the camp and give the kids a fun four day experience. The camp is July 21st - 24th, 2008. 2008 Camp Flier

Inhouse Wrestling
The EVAA wrestling K-6th grade inhouse program has two age levels that both practice twice a week in November and December. The K-2nd grade kids will have practices on Mondays and Tuesdays while the 3rd-6th grade kids have practices on Mondays and Tuesdays or Thursdays. This program is also applicable to all levels of athletes focusing on both beginner and intermediate techniques. One day a week focuses on learning wrestling techniques and the other will generally have technique and a team competition.
