Welcome to youth lacrosse! Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in Minnesota. EVAA offers both Spring and Summer lacrosse leagues. Teams will be configured by player grade level at time of registration. The program is offered to both boys and girls.

GIRLS LACROSSE

EVAA Lacrosse is excited to offer girls ages 4th grade to 8th grade the opportunity to participate in the competitive Spring and Summer MSSLax Lacrosse League!

League: The MSSLAX (Minneapolis/St Paul area Middle School Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association) was formed in 2003 and involves teams in the metropolitan area. Spring season begins March and runs through late May. Summer season begins in June and run through late July, early August. This league is open to all 4th/5th/6th and 7th/8th grade girls who have never played or are experienced players.

Teams: We plan to have at least one team for 7th/8th graders and at least one team comprised of 4th/5th/6th graders. This depends on the interest. So sign up early to ensure your spot on the team.

Schedule: Normal time commitment will be 2-3 days a week with practices and games. Coaches are trying to keep practices during the week, but have acknowledged that there will be some Saturday practice or games.

Goalie Equipment will be provided

Registration: Cost will be $125 per player and you may go to Online Registration to complete the process when registration is open. Credit Cards will only be accepted with online registration.

Volunteers: This association is made up of Volunteers. If you wish to help as a coach, assistant coach, manager, hand out uniforms, bring snacks, or any other position that will help the team. Please contact the EVAA Girls Lacrosse Program Coordinator, Sean Bateman at sean.m.bateman@gmail.com.

US Lacrosse Association: It is MANDATORY that all participants must be current members of the US Lacrosse Association. To see if you are a member, or to join this association, contact US Lacrosse.

2011 Boys Spring Field Lacrosse 2nd-4th, 5th-6th, & 7th-8th grade

Boys Spring Lacrosse will play in the Minnesota Boys Scholastic Lacrosse Association (MBSLA) league on approximately 5 weekends from mid April through late May. Travel to all parts of the metro area is possible for games. Games are held on the weekends in a round-robin format and the team will typically play two games on each game date. Practice time and frequency to be determined by coaches.

SUMMER LACROSSE REGISTRATION will open after Spring Lacrosse registration is completed.

Summer field lacrosse will be offered to 2nd - 4th, 5th - 6th, and 7th - 8th grade divisions. Registration will be open early March, 2011 through late April, 2011. These teams will participate in the Youth Lacrosse Minnesota summer league. Practices and games will be held on weekday evenings. An end of season State Tournament will be held in late July. Teams may participate in additional tournaments at the discretion of coaches and parents. Registration fees for the added tournaments would be the responsibility of the participating team. If your child is not currently a member of US Lacrosse, registration will be required at an additional fee of approximately $25. Practices will start in May and end with the scheduled State Tournament in late July.

EVAA now offers Online Registration to save you time.

Equipment needed: stick, helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, mouthguard, and athletic protection.

US Lacrosse Membership: The Summer leagues that these teams play in require US Lacrosse membership. All players signing up for the league must also be a US Lacrosse member by the 1st game. Cost of membership is $25 and information and application for membership can be found at US Lacrosse.

The Eastview Varsity Lacrosse team will be hosting FREE Clinics during the Summer season. Come receive instruction from the Varsity Coaching staff and Players! Free Equipment will be available for players to use, if they do not have any. All clinics will be held on the practice field at Eastview closest to the water park.
