Welcome to youth lacrosse! Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in Minnesota. EVAA offers both Spring and Summer lacrosse leagues. Teams will be configured by player grade level at time of registration. The program is offered to both boys and girls. EVAA Lacrosse is currently exploring the addition of girls lacrosse to our program. If you have any interest in girls' lacrosse, please contact us.
GIRLS SPRING LACROSSE
The EVAA Lacrosse is excited to offer girls ages 4th grade to 8th grade the opportunity to participate in the competitive Spring MSSLax Lacrosse League beginning in Spring 2010!
League: The MSSLAX (Minneapolis/St Paul area Middle School Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association) was formed in 2003 and involves teams in the metropolitan area. Games begin in April, ending with a Play Day (an entire day filled with awesome fun lacrosse) in late May. This league is open to all 4th/6th and 7th/8th grade girls who have never played or are experienced players.
Teams: We plan to have one team of 7th/8th and one team of 4th/5th/6th. This depends on the interest in the Spring season. So sign up early to ensure your spot on the team. Registration is open from February 16 through March 1, 2010.
Schedule: Practices will begin late March indoors in gyms or arenas. As soon as the weather permits, practices and games will be outdoors.
Equipment: All players require the following: Girl's lacrosse stick, girl's lacrosse goggles, colored mouth guard, cleats are recommended, but not mandatory.
Goalie Equipment will be provided
Volunteers: This association is made up of Volunteers. If you wish to help as a coach, assistant coach, manager, hand out uniforms, bring snacks, or any other position that will help the team. Please contact the EVAA Girls Lacrosse Program Coordinator, Sean Bateman at sean.m.bateman@gmail.com.

BOYS SPRING LACROSSE registration is open January 1, 2010 thru February 17, 2010
2010 Spring Indoor Lacrosse 2nd - 6th grade
Indoor Spring Lacrosse will be offered in two divisions, 2-4 and 5-6 grade. This will be a combined South of the River league, known as Dakota Lacrosse, with participants from Eagan, Apple Valley, Rosemount and Burnsville. To the extent possible, players will be organized by school and geography. There will be one practice and one game per week. Practices will begin in mid-March and the season will end in late May. Practices will be on weeknights and games will be on weekends. All activities will be at Eagan and Hayes arenas on artificial turf.
2010 Spring Field Lacrosse 7th - 8th grade
7th - 8th Grade Lacrosse will play in the Minnesota Boys Scholastic Lacrosse Association (MBSLA) Middle School league on approximately 5 weekends from mid April through late May. Travel to all parts of the metro area is likely for games. Games are held on Saturdays in a round-robin format and the team will typically play two games on each game date. Practices will be at Falcon Ridge Middle School, practice time and frequency to be determined by coaches and families.
SUMMER LACROSSE REGISTRATION will open after Spring Lacrosse registration is completed.
Summer field lacrosse will be offered to 2nd - 4th, 5th - 6th, and 7th - 8th grade divisions. Registration will be open early March, 2010 through late Apri, 2010. These teams will participate in the Youth Lacrosse Minnesota summer league. Practices and games will be held on weekday evenings. An end of season State Tournament will be held in late July. Teams may participate in additional tournaments at the discretion of coaches and parents. Registration fees for the added tournaments would be the responsibility of the participating team. If your child is not currently a member of US Lacrosse, registration will be required at an additional fee of approximately $25. Practices will start in May and end with the scheduled State Tournament in late July.

Equipment needed: stick, helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, mouthguard, and athletic protection.
US Lacrosse Membership: The Summer leagues that these teams play in require US Lacrosse membership. All players signing up for the league must also be a US Lacrosse member by the 1st game. Cost of membership is $25 and information and application for membership can be found at US Lacrosse.
